About Me

Education

I completed my Bachelor of Science in Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising in Fall 2020 from Central Washington University. During my education, I had the opportunity to partake in many experiences that opened my eyes to all the opportunities in the fashion industry. I highly enjoyed the field experiences and hands on learning that happened in almost every class. Throughout my education I was able to strengthen my critical thinking, technical, and creative skills.

Strengths

Throughout my time in the industry, I have strengthened many of my skills. Through being a Sales Leader at American Eagle my leadership skills flourished. My position at American Eagle required me to be personable and make meaningful connections with not only customers that came into the store, but also my brand ambassadors as well as my leadership team. Through coaching, problem-solving, time management, and conflict resolution, my leadership skills were put to the test every day. Being a leader in retail is tough, but I believe it was one of the most insightful positions I've held thus far. My organizational skills are another one of my strengths. Being a sales leader, bridal stylist, and merchandiser all require high organizational skills. In each of these roles I've had to practice active listening in order to give the best customer experience. Attention to detail is another strength I've grown into especially in the bridal industry where you are taking measurements and giving tailor recommendations. I feel that all of these roles have challenged me in different ways, but also gave me the opportunity to build on my strengths.

Career Goals

With the knowledge and skills, I gained from my degree and previous experience I am confident that I will be an excellent addition to any team. I would love to work in a company that will challenge me every day and that has many growth opportunities. In my ideal role, I will be able to incorporate at least one of my passions in styling, marketing, social media, or visual merchandising into my work.
